A great achievement 

We are delighted to announce that our own Head Professional Paul Jones has been elected as this year’s PGA West region captain 2018/2019. This is a great honour for him and a very prestigious position to hold within the PGA.

This week saw both Paul & Jon play in another Dorset Wiltshire PGA winter series at Salisbury & South Wilts Golf Club. The temperature did not rise above zero for the day, leading to frozen greens and tricky conditions, Paul played fairly consistently recording his best finish this winter with a 73 and 3rd position, Jon struggled somewhat with the conditions and is looking forward to the next event where he can hopefully regain some bragging rights within the shop.

Weekend round up

On Saturday it saw the February Saturday Stroke play won by Andy Wing, Sunday saw a better ball Stroke play in the shape of fantastic net 62 from Clem Woloszyn and Andre Labouchardiere.

The hole in 1 pot has now grown to £28.60.

This weekend sees a charity Stableford & development Bogey.

2018 stock

The January sale has now finished and the shop is slowly filling up with new season stock.

So far to land in the shop is the new 2018 range from Cobra, FootJoy and now new Titleist golf balls the new Tour Soft replacing the NXT line and pearlescent velocity in orange and pink.

CJs winter eclectic final is on Good Friday, list is on the board in the club if you wish to play tick your name off.

The club matches for this year have been put on the boards as well in the club if you wish to play put your name down. First match is against Burley GC on Sunday 11th March.

The US masters competition list is filling up fast if you want to play put your name down before it fills up.

Last weekend saw the American themed nights hosted by Clubhouse 1896 which saw a total of 90 enjoying themselves thoroughly.
