Harry Hunt Scratch Trophy

Last weekend saw the scratch final come to a conclusion, although the start was delayed due to fog.

The final was contested between John Walbridge and Julian Flower with Club Captain Peter Johnson officiating proceedings.

On the day it was John who came our victorious 4&3 and in the process booking his place at the end of season presentation night.

President's Doubles

The weekend before the Scratch final the President's Doubles final was played with Mike Head & Gary Banks taking on Mark Mcintosh & James Mcintosh, overseen by Seniors' Captain Robin Morris.

The match proved to be tight with it going all the way down to the last, but it was Mark & James who came out on top in a tense affair.

Perpetual Trophies

Held at the end of September, The Frank Salmon Salver (scratch) and Roy Carey Trophy (handicap) offered one of the last chances to book a ticket to Presentation Night. The two trophies are rich in history with Roy Carey and his wife saving the club returning to farmland after WW2 while Frank Salmon was a founding member.

Last year the two trophies were both won by John Walbridge but on a tough scoring day, the winners would be different this year as Gary Weldon claimed the Frank Salmon Salver with a gross 70 while Jerry Cocking took the Roy Carey Trophy with a nett 68.

Well played guys for two good scores on a difficult day.
