Who is The Ashley Wood's number 1?

Last Monday saw our 3rd event for the PGA winter series, which was played at Rushmore Golf Club. In tricky course conditions it was Paul who has the bragging rights again in the pro shop with a great score of 69 (-2), finishing tied 2nd as Alex signed for a 72 (+1) who, after a really poor start was sanding on the 5th tee at +5, but he dug deep to play the remaining holes at -4. Well done to Paul again who is still The Ashley Wood’s Number 1.

Paul is now lying 4th in the OOM while Alex is now in 8th place. There is still plenty of golf left to play to hopefully secure our place in the top 16 to go through and play the finals day at Remedy Oak in April. The next event is at High Post on the 25th of November and with Paul being away Alex has a chance to close the gap in the OOM.

Club news

Coming your way...

Presentation night is this coming Saturday on the 23rd of November. We hope everyone attending will have a great night and lots of celebrations - well done to all the winners.

There is also a Club Captain's Charity Raffle being held in the bar and the prize is a Xmas Hamper for £1 a square to be paid at the bar. Good luck to everyone who enters!

Competitive golf coming up...

This weekend is a Cross Country event with a 9am shotgun start on Saturday and then on Sunday we are holding a non-qualifying bogey competition. Let’s hope the weather holds out this weekend.

Moving into December, on Saturday 14th December we will be holding the Turkey Trot with a shotgun start at 9am and the sign up sheets are in the foyer.
