What a shoot-out!

The Zurich Classic – a unique tournament that flip-flops between fourball & foursomes formats – served up one of the most enthralling shoot-outs of the year on Sunday evening as Australia and South Africa added another classic sporting rivalry to the list.

The team from Down Under, Cameron Smith & Mark Leishman, traded birdies and bogeys in frantic fashion with South Africa’s Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel. After Smith found the water on the 17th, Leishman chipped-in to save the day. A rash drive into the drink from Oosthuizen in the playoff proved far more costly; failing to recover and handing the Aussies a hard-fought, thrilling victory in New Orleans.

A first for Giles...

Well done to Giles Paver who had his first hole-in-one on the 4th using an 8 iron while playing in the Hospital Cup, picking up the Hole in One Prize Pot in the process too. There were no photos but reports were that his celebration was heard over 20 miles away... Well done Giles!
